NO NEW ENTRIES
The month of May has not thrown up any major surprises when it comes to the top 10 songs. There have been no new songs appearing with the only changes being Rema's Bounce and Portable's Zazoo Zehh swapping positions. This rigidity in position goes to show the strength of the popularity of the songs on the list as they continue to dominate the download numbers and charts even with newer songs being released in the meantime.
REMA AND JOEBOY CONTINUE TO DOMINATE
With the release of his latest album, Rema has been on a successful run with six singles from the album appearing on the top 100 songs of the month, most of them have been absent from the top 100 in the last month. As his album continues to gain momentum expect to see even more singles from him in the top 100 and even top 10.
Joeboy continues his amazing year on the charts with 11 songs on the top 100 most downloaded songs in May. He may not have the top spot but he is the artist with the most songs in the top 100. These songs include hits such as Count Me Out, Attention and Baby.
NEW SONGS ON THE RISE
While the top 10 has remained unchanged there have been new songs by rising stars in the music scene that have been quickly climbing up the top 100 and could soon break into the top 10. Artists such as Ada Ehi, Mercy Chinwo and Black Sherif have multiple songs on the top 100 list and are growing in a positive direction. Any of these artists could be the next one to be represented on the top 10.
